Draft pending legal review. This text is not legal advice and must be reviewed by Costa Rican counsel before public launch.

Applicable framework

[OPERATING LEGAL ENTITY] processes personal data in line with Costa Rica's Law No. 8968, "Ley de Protección de la Persona frente al Tratamiento de sus Datos Personales", its applicable regulation, and PRODHAB requirements.

Before public launch, counsel must confirm whether each database requires registration with PRODHAB.

What data is collected

Only what is genuinely useful is collected:

  • Account data: name, email and preferred language.
  • Professional information you provide or upload: experience, education, certifications, languages and skills.
  • Province, only if you choose to state it. We never ask for a street address.
  • Technical records needed for security, with IP addresses stored as an irreversible keyed hash.

Data we do not ask for

We do not ask for religion, political affiliation, health information, sexual orientation, biometric data, union membership or criminal history. If such data appears in an uploaded document, the AI processing is instructed to ignore it and it is not stored.

Use of artificial intelligence

AI is used to extract information from documents you upload, propose skills, suggest career paths and explain matches. Every AI output is presented as a draft or a suggestion until you confirm it.

AI cannot automatically reject a person for a job, and cannot change your professional history without your confirmation.

Visibility and discovery

Your profile is private by default. Visibility to organizations is optional, granular and revocable at any time. Organizations first see a privacy-preserving representation; your identity is shown only if you allowed it.

Aggregate analytics

Public indicators are built from aggregated data with minimum cohort thresholds, so an individual cannot be identified from a segment.

International processing

Cloud infrastructure and AI providers may process data outside Costa Rica. A register of providers and subprocessors is maintained, and configurations are chosen that do not use your content to train public models.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data, and withdraw your consent. Write to [PRIVACY CONTACT] or use the privacy center inside your account.

Retention

Original resume files are kept only while needed and can be deleted while keeping your confirmed profile. Retention policies per data type are configurable and documented in platform operations.
